Management Committee

Management committee will have over-riding rule and will make all decisions on club direction.

Sub-Committees

These sub-committees will each have a chair who will report back to the management committee. Each Sub-Committee will have a broad directive from the management committee. Role of Sub-committees are to carry out club direction as they see fit.  Each Sub-Committee chair will be responsible for calling meetings and allowing/finding new people to come on to the sub-committee.

1. Senior Playing Committee – Chairman = Ed Savill

2. Junior Playing Committee – Chairman = Rob Kirkwood

3. Fundraising Committee – Chairman = Ed Savill

4. Grounds Committee – Chairman = Gren Warden

5. Admin Committee – Chairman = Andrew Crossley

1. Sponsorship director:

· Continuing and creating new links with local businesses:

In the 2008 season we set up links with 2 or 3 businesses that were very successful. We are looking for someone to continue these links and find more businesses willing to support the club. The offer of advertising through shirt sponsorship, advertising boards etc should hopefully be of good incentive to businesses.

· Setting up match day ball sponsorship structure:

Match day ball sponsorship is an easy way of getting small amounts (30-50 quid) from businesses/supporters which if done for each home game can add up to a useful sum.

You could decide to take this on yourself and find sponsors for all 20 home games, or set up structure where by giving responsibility to each player each week to go away and find a sponsor. Whatever you decide will be backed by the committee

2. Social Secretary:

· Thinking of ideas for social events and helping in the running of these events:

We are looking for people to take up the social secretary roles. It could be one person or 3 or 4! We want a team to work together in supporting all social events currently underway and also think up and help set up new events throughout both the summer and winter.

3. Fundraising Director:

· To run 1 or more fundraising initiative and to work alongside the sponsorship director and social secretary in order to raise enough money to keep the club going.

We are looking for someone to take on the running of the 200 club or set up a new initiative that will raise a significant amount of money for the club whilst also offering members that chance of making a few quid themselves! Whatever you decide to do will have full backing of the committee and all members will help promote the initiative around and outside the club

You may have ideas for 3 or 4 small things instead of one large idea, however whatever decided will have full backing. Working alongside the sponsorship and social people will hopefully result in hitting a target by the end of the season

4. Membership Secretary (Senior and Junior): THESE ARE 2 SEPERATE ROLES

· Getting contact details, money and registering players for senior cricket:

We are looking for someone to take the responsibility of making sure all players are registered for Premier league and South Notts cricket. (This administration of this can be taught in less than an half an hour by Andy Crossley and Babara Savill)

Setting up a database with contact details for all players playing senior and junior cricket will also be of great usefulness.

Also making sure all SENIOR and JUNIOR players have paid their annual subscriptions.

5. Junior Grounds man (Age 17 and over):

· Joining the ground team of Gren Wardan, Mick Aplin and Ed Savill

We are looking for someone to take on the responsibility of making sure the outfield is cut and ready for the weekend’s action. This will involve cutting the outfield twice a week, once early on in the week (Mon-Tue) and once later on in the week (Thur-Sat morn).

Cutting the outfield with tractor and pull gang mowers takes 1hour and 30 mins maximum. So it will be 3 hours work during the week. Obviously weather, junior games and your own commitments will mean having to work out when possible to cut outfield during the week.

6. Play-cricket administrator, to input scorecards for all senior (and junior if possible!) games:

· To input the scorecards of all Saturday and Sunday games throughout the season. Adding junior games as well would be very good also.

We are looking for someone to collect all the scorebooks for the weekend games and input these in to play-cricket. Play-cricket will automatically create a wide range of Stats that will be on show for all members.

The administration of this can be taught in less than an hour by Ed Savill and the inputting of scorecards each week should take no longer than an hour and a half  in all (to input all scorecards for 1st 2nd 3rd Saturday teams and the 2 Sunday teams)

7. Fixture Secretary:)· We are looking for this person to arrange Sunday Newark Alliance games around
the ever increasing cup games.

To also release the entire senior club teams fixtures as a fixture card to all members.

8. Annual Event (Golf Day) Runner/Helpers

· We are looking for someone to oversee the running of the annual event. Last year we ran a Golf Day and would probably look to do the same. Someone is needed who is willing to run the administration of the day i.e. Recieving money, booking Golf Club etc.

Whilst also trying to recruit people to come on the day, you will receive support from all club members. Also if we can recruit a few formal helpers who will go around, spread the word and try and convince people to come on the day also that would be good.

9.  2 or 3 Senior players to join Senior Playing Committee

· The club is setting up a senior playing committee which will help decide upon selection policy, training structures and other important senior matters.

Aswell as the club captain, the selection committee and possibly a coaching advisor we are looking for 2 to 3 senior players to give an input into these decisions.

You may come from any side within the senior section, with this being a chance to have an input into how the             senior playing section is run.

  10. Grant coordinator

We are looking for a person to co-ordinate all grant applications done by the club.

As is known there are many grants available for cricket clubs which create income needed for the club to grow, whether it be for the cost of new infrastructure (e.g. machinery) or cricket specific costs (e.g. coaching)

We are looking for a person , with the support of all committee members and especially Ed and Barbara Savill (experienced in grant applications), to take on the task of trying to gain grant money each year for the club.

Most grant applications require information from all the different areas of the club so the Grant coordinator will very much have the support of all officials within the club, so that they can do this role with relative ease.
